How often should I have my HVAC system serviced?

North Air, Inc. services and repairs all makes and models of heating and cooling equipment, including Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, York, Goodman, American Standard, Bryant, and many others. We are an authorized Trane Comfort Specialist, so we have specialized training and access to genuine Trane parts.

How long does a typical AC installation take?

A standard central air conditioning installation typically takes one to two days, depending on the complexity of the job. This includes removing the old equipment, installing the new system, and testing to ensure everything is working properly. We will give you a more specific timeframe when we provide your estimate.

What size air conditioner do I need for my home?

The right size AC depends on several factors, including the square footage of your home, ceiling height, insulation levels, window size and orientation, and local climate. An undersized unit will run constantly and not cool your home adequately, while an oversized unit will cycle on and off too frequently, reducing efficiency and comfort. What is SEER and why does it matter?

There are several ways to improve your indoor air quality: replace your air filter regularly (every 1-3 months), consider upgrading to a high-efficiency filter or air cleaner, add a UV germicidal light to kill bacteria and mold, install a whole-house humidifier or dehumidifier to control moisture levels, and ensure your home is properly ventilated.
